Ah yes,
My first machine was a Singer 8086 in 1983. It ran CPM and/or an
upstart called DOS. BIG BUX! About three grand got you a machine with a
green screen, two 5 1/4 floppies, and I 'think' upgraded to 640K of RAM,
I could be mistaken there. No mouse, no modem, and sound was a "beep"
from the motherboard speaker. The package I got DID come with some
basic software like CPM, DOS, GW Basic and early Wordstar etc. Oh, I
also got a 8 pin printer with it (don't recall the model).
