I seem to remember one called Coffee Cup and another called HTML Beauty.
Regardless, try going to www.nonags.com and checking there. All of the
programs are freeware and most are very good. They have a rating
system.

The way I learned HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) was by reading a
brief article, then doing a VIEW SOURCE on certain pages to see how it
was done. Everyone doesn't learn that way, so a program might be better
for others. Microshaft Front Page is another popular program, but it's
not entirely standards compliant.

Technically you can put together everything with a text editor, but
that's not for the faint of heart (real men code in a text editor).

Your friend will want to have at least two browsers handy: Explorer and
a good one (Opera and/or Firefox) to check the appearance of the page in
each. Explorer is the standard by sheer numbers. The irony is that
it's not standards compliant.

There are tons of sites dedicated to page-building, as well as sites
like Angelfire, which will help you along.

Wishing you and your friend good luck and happy coding,
-jeff

Why not? It's bound to look better than mine :)
