[Ham-Computers] Linux in the ham shack

Am using Suse 9.2 here and plan to upgrade to 9.3

9.1 was a significant improvement over 9.1 and 9.3 contains several
major improvements for laptops.

I gave up on RedHat a while back when they made some changes to their
business model.

I have heard that Apple, whose rewritten OS is built on UNIX/Linux,
is thinking of porting over to PC hardware. Since many more drivers
are made available for Apple than Linux due to commercial
considerations, and the anti-Linux/anti-Open Source attitude out there,
it would solve a bunch of hardware incompatibilities.

Just some thoughts ... back to preparing the house for company!
