Is anyone out there using Fedora Core in the ham shack? I am writing
this on the main system in my shack which runs SuSe version 9.1
Professional. I just loaded Fedora Core 4 on a laptop and I like it a
lot. I am debating about switching distributions for use in the shack.
So far I don't have any "ham specific" software on the Linux systems. I
was using a logging program designed for Windows that had no Linux
counterpart so I exported the log to an spread sheet and now keep track
of contacts with Open Office. If I reach the stage where I have a good
control program for my scanners under Linux I will be Windows free.

The Box said "Win95,98,2000 NT4.0 or better" So I installed Linux!
