I'm going to guess that your wife's system isn't infected.  I don't
remember the specifics of Beagle, but quite a few of them hijack address
books and forge the FROM: address.  Odds are this is someone who had HER
address in their addressbook and got themselves infected.

Unless you're really good with headers, don't bother investigating. 
You've already determined your wife's system is clean.
