[Ham-Computers] Make a Desktop Shortcut to a Web Site

Thanks for the tips. I'm going to try all of them. I'm almost certain I
used Mike's approach in the past, but with a little mod. Right clicking
didn't work in my case, but moving the cursor to the icon to the left of
the URL causes it to change to a hand. Press and hold the left button, and
drag to the desktop and a shortcut is created.

There's only one problem, as shown in the following example.
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/download.html#nav points to the Symantec
site that provides an antivirus definition download. the icon is the yellow
Symantec ball, but when it is moved to the desktop it changes to an IE or
Netscape icon, depending upon the browser used. I didn't have this problem
earlier.
