Robert,

WINLOGON.EXE, SERVICES.EXE, LSASS.EXE
These three are part of the Windows OS. If you need more details, let
me know.

NISUM.EXE, NPROTECT.EXE, CCPXYSVC.EXE, PQV2iSvc.exe
These are all part of some Symantec (aka Norton) product. BTW, many of
the "Norton Security" products have filenames that start with the
letters "cc".

SMAgent.exe, SMax4PNP.exe, SMax4.exe
All belong to the SoundMAX audio card.

jusched.exe
Sun Java auto-updater.

There are many websites that have lists of these processes. Here are
some...

http://www.processlibrary.com (aka LiUtilities or Uniblue)
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/
http://www.answersthatwork.com

Of these three, I would trust ProcessLibrary the most. Generally, I use
Google to search on the task name and then visit two or three Google
results to see if they all say the same thing.

There are also Windows tweaking guides you can visit that will tell what
services you can disable in Windows to gain some performance and reduce
Window's memory "footprint". Be careful though as some of these
services are used by other processes or apps. You need to be aware what
app has a "dependency" to a particular service and re-enable the service
when needed.
