Duane,

Several years ago when I was having a problem with EasyCD (probably V4.x) not
wanting to handle SCSI drives anymore I took a look at it. And more
recently, a guy at a company I did some consulting work for was trying to use it to
copy some pipeline inspection data CD's sent up to us from Bolivia and Argentina
and couldn't get usuable copies made. So I ended up doing the copying
myself.

But as I've said twice already, the only things in EasyMedia that I use and
the only portion of it that I install, is that portion required to make a CDRW
(or DVDRW) drive usable by anything running on my machines. In fact, were it
not for DVD's coming along, and the lack of support for newer drives in
general, I'd still be using V4.x. Just not with SCSI drives.

As to the sorts of things that the menu driven portions do (job building or
whatever they call it), I have no opinion. If you say that Nero is better than
EasyMedia for this sort of thing, I'll take your word for it. Back when I
was having the SCSI problem, I looked for someone elses software (including
Nero) to do the same thing that EasyCD did and as best I could tell, it just
didn't exist. So I quit using SCSI CD drives. I neither like nor dislike Nero.
Like the bulk of EasyMedia, it just doesn't do anything that I need done.
