[Ham-Computers] flat screen monitors

I currently have a Compaq Presario running windows 98SE, with a  13 inch
MV540 CRT monitor. I would like to change out the monitor to a 19 inch flat
screen as the eyes don't see the letters very well when you are 70 years
old. Can anyone give me some recommendations as to what they like? I see
them listed as analog and digital? What will need to be done to the inside
of the tower, if anything? I also plan to change out the computer next year
as living on a fixed income I cannot justify both at the same time.
