That is the conclusion I have come to as the best
solution to a windows system.  That is pretty much
what I have now.  Win98SE minus IE and the
computer has Firefox and Thunderbird but I still
like Netscape 4.6.

My Win95 experiment is complete.  While it works,
there is just too much incompatibility with
software that runs just fine under Win98.

I tried Spybot some time ago.  I was not
impressed.  I also use AVG.  Over the past few
years, it has yet to find anything that needs
removal. I have also used the Norton and McCaffee
programs but that was many, many years ago.  I did
not like them because they slowed down the
computer.
