The fact that you did a factory restore and it failed is troublesome.
I suggest trying the restore a second time (making sure not to try SP2).
Also look for keyboard errors onscreen as the computer boots. Check
around the BIOS too.
It's possible the keyboard has given up the ghost also - something
similar happened recently and we found out the keyboard was literally
dripping from a leak.
