You can use Adobe Acrobat or popular compression software, such as WinZip,
to compress PDF files.
As an example, I used WinZip to compress a 253kB PDF file to a 239kB zipped
file. The difference is only 14kB in this case, but the amount of
compression is dependant on the content of the PDF file.
I normally use WinZip to distribute files due to its widespread application.
However, users are urged to download the latest version from the WinZip
website, as the virus creators are now exploiting a security flaw in the
older versions of WinZip.

Subject: [Ham-Computers] zip files
I now have my second web site up but some of the files are so big only the
people with hi-speed DSL can open them. Can you zip .PDF files to make them
smaller? And if so how? How much smaller? I am getting into a field I have
never ventured before.
Thanx
