On just about any Linux distribution today you just put in the CD & sit
back. If you're dual-booting with windows run scandisk & defrag before
running, the usual proviso is to back-up data first. Mandrake is one of
the easiest.

SuSE used to have the most radio-related applications, I don't know if
they still do.
