Hi All,
I have a HP P-1000c color printer. Now some of you know that I am totally blind,
I mention this only because some do not know and it has great relevance here.
Tonight a visiting Ham buddy from out of state was looking at some of the
original color photos of some custom cars I built in the sixties. (FYI: I was
drag racing prior to being blinded on the eve of my eighteenth birthday. After
that I switched to building custom street machines for a hobby.) I decided to
print him a copy of one of the photos that I had previously scanned and saved.
He said that there was a sort of purple color showing on the hood and some of
the interior. This color does not exist in the photo or the scan.
I got out a different photo of a different car and handed that to him to check.
This was printed three weeks ago. It had some pink coloration's showing in
spots, but there is no pink on this car! The picture is fine otherwise, no
distortion or anything. Thepaper is high quality Kodak.
The printer does not get a lot of use, sometimes it does sit idle for several
weeks.
Any ideas as to what is going on with this printer? Maybe a bad color cartridge?
There is no low ink warning, by the way.
Thank you for your guidance.
