I checked google for the registry & found at:

etc. Associated with power management and is listed twice - see here .
Loads your selected power scheme. May not be required - depends upon
whether you modify the default Control Panel -> Power Options settings'

The symantec site at

makes no mention of this key. 

It also says 
'Systems Not Affected: Windows 3.x, Microsoft IIS, Macintosh, UNIX,
Linux'

Why not go for peace of mind and use one of these?
