Different programs catch different things. You have to hit them with more
than one gun.
For removal I use Adaware and:
Spybot Search and Destroy
http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=download
For prevention of spyware installation:
Spyware blaster http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html
And for real-time stopping of pop ups:
Popup Stopper http://www.panicware.com/
They're all free so run often and check for updates at least monthly but
preferably weekly.

Subject: [Ham-Computers] Question about Adaware program
Does anybody who monitors the reflector here know why the above program wont
take all the pop ups that this program finds on the system.
A buddy of mine who was looking at several adult sites told me his computer
was having all these pop ups and I knew exactly what I thought would cure
it, and it has but not all the way.
I have run the program about 6 times in the last 3 days and it keeps finding
these ads.
I delete them and run the program again and it finds more.
Any ideas on what else I can possibily do.

Brian
