Don,
I use Mixw software here , it is multimode for Packet and others. For 
APRS I use WinAPRS.
These can be found on the internet from any search engine.
Also hook up diagrams can be found on my web page www.qsl.net/k3asi
Although my page is on SSTV the hookups are the same.
