I installed Red Hat Linux on my laptop that already had XP Pro installed.
Used the D: partition, and repartitioned it for Linux. I didn't want to
interfere with the XP boot sector so I use a floppy to boot Linux.

Subject: Re: [Ham-Computers] Re Lenux
I have wanted to put Linux on my machine for a long time but run into
the problem that, because I am running XP (the ONLY MS OS that is worth
having), I cannot change unless I start over from scratch with a clean
HD because the Linux has to be installed BEFORE the XP.
I am not ready to give up XP until I see that Linux will run all my
applications.
What is needed is a Linux that will install over XP or after XP, but I
think that XP controls that function and I imagine Uncle Bill will make
sure that no such version of HIS OS will never surface.
