Thank you for the information and the slap in the mouth. Tell you what, I will
run Linux IF you provide me with screen reading software that works as a fully
interactive user interface for those of us who are blind. If you can not provide
it as a viable alternative, then don't criticize what somebody else has to use;
good, bad or otherwise.
If I had my way, DOS would still be the OS of choice. At least with it the
visually handicapped had total interface ability and almost no limitation on
what software programs one used. But times change, products change, it is
progress, be it forward or backward.

The free software OpenOffice reads excel and also writes to the Micro$oft
format if you wish. It is from www.openoffice.org but it is a big download.
Many magazine cover CDs have it.
Of course if you were using a good operating system like Linux there would be
other programs that read and write excel files and they are also entirely
free.
