I use both Ad-Aware and Spybot.  Spybot has an 'immunize' button that probably
does what you are looking for but Ad-Aware seems to do a better job at finding
and cleanup of the system.

I've been using Ad-Aware 6.0 for a while and it seems quite thorough...one
issue, though...it does a post-infestation cleanup vs a
block-on-attempt-to-infest.  Is anyone aware of  a software product, free or
otherwise, which will troll for Gator, Doubleclick, and all that crud in an
anti-virus-like manner...that is, is there a product that will stomp these
things when they try to install on the target PC?
