Greetings All,
Now help the old blind dude out here guys, after all, every blind man needs his
photos to turn out respectably so the sighted community does not rag on him!
I am scanning an 8X10 color photo on normal size printer photo paper. I am
using the default resolution of 150 pi and have it set to 'same size as
original'. It is set to take extra time to scan for higher resolution areas. It
is scanned to an 'image file'. When completed, I save it to a zip drive on the
system. Because the default is .bmp, I do change it to a .jpg I leave the
compression at 100% which is the default.
When I load the file into Corel Draw 5.0 I do nothing except select 'print' and
press enter.
The picture comes out eight wide, but only about 6 7/8 high. Now why is this?
My daughter told me her program (not Corel) has an option in the menus to select
the size of the photo you want to print, regardless of the actual image you
loaded in. She can click on 8X10. If Corel Draw has this, I have not found it,
but perhaps it is under another name or done in a different way.
So what am I doing wrong here troops? Thanks!
