If you are referring to the DSS receiver you should see two sets of three
RCA type jacks colored red, white(or black) and yellow. Yellow is video out
and the other two are line level audio outputs. When looking at the back of
the receiver, the two on the left of each row is usually audio and the right
ones are the video outputs.

Roger that, but which jacks are they? Nothing here indicates it is a line
level
audio output jack.

Duane,

Yes you can take the audio output directly from the DSS receiver to a stereo
receiver. You can use any line level input such as cassette deck, fm
receiver, etc.

I realize this is totally off the topic here, but I have no correct list to
ask
it on. Hence, I am hoping that one of you Ham computer wizards might have
some
suggestions.

The receiver is a Sony model A55 with uhf remote, the new dual lnb variety.
It
is for DSS Direct TV. I would like to just get an audio feed, no video. The
TV
remains off. Can I take the audio direct from the DSS receiver and feed it
to an
external amp and speakers? If so, which of thes various connectors on the
rear
should I use?

Thanks.
