Gentlemen;
I have been with QTH Ham/Computers for over a year and the information I
have aquired from all of you has been a great help. I keep most of your
msg's in a file on my Outlook Express (41 total). Especialy the one's
from (but not limited to) Aaron Hsu. Thanks to all of you.
O.K., enough slobbering!. My problem is a program I unwittingly allowed
a friend(?) :^( to install on my machine. Called- CyberMedia First
Aid.
The first time I used it, it found 3 "critical problems". It corrected
1, I corrected the other and left the 3rd alone for later.
After that, I tried to open up the program (First Aid) and as it
started, it said that my Explorer 'crashed'---leaving me with a puzzle.
I tried to close the program and my screen went black---not even a DOS
blinking cursor! I waited 5 minutes, nothing happened, tried
Ctrl+Alt+Del---nothing. Had to restart my machine. This happened 3
times. So, I went to Add/Remove and recieved the following msg;
**********************************************
CAUTION: Restore any trimmed application features before uninstalling
CyberMedia First Aid 98 or you must later reinstall the application to
restore the feature.
To restore trimmed applications,cancel this procedure and then start the
installed version of CyberMedia First Aid 98.
See help for step by step instructions.
In CyberMedia First Aid 98, a trimmed Application displays a small " T "
by its icon.
Do you want to continue to uninstall CyberMedia First Aid 98?
Yes                  No

My "friend" has left the area with the install CD, so, what do you
suggest I do???
Thanks for any suggestions any of you may have.
