[Ham-Computers] Faded Polaroid B/W Photos

Hi All, 	
	
I have several black and white Polaroid photos that have started to darken. If
scanned with a good quality scanner, is there any software that will allow these
photos to be restored to reasonable clarity and coloration? 	
	
What resolution would you suggest for scanning? The default of 150 pi? Scan it
in color or B/W?
