John, maybe you have to understand why the choke is overheating first !

Folks, I may have jumped the GUN !!  checked out the "smelly" SX 28 A and found that the power supply Choke positioned beneath the power transformer is overheating and OOZING black "stuff". So hopefully the problem is the choke in the power supply. Regardless, I will need a choke for the SX 28A receiver. Maybe I can find a choke for the SX 28 A.
