[Hallicrafters] Rough S.38 repair/restore

Peter,

Fried receiver antenna coils are often caused by input from a transmitter, and sometimes from lightening. It seems unlikely that a failed capacitor would cause burning of an antenna coil when power is applied. 

I hope you can find a replacement part, from that model radio or from one that uses the same or somilar part.
