[Hallicrafters] SX101A alignment problem

I cannot get T4 in the second mixer to peak. It tunes very broadly. Screwing
the slug all the in or out produces very little change in output. T3, T6 and
T7 all tune nicely. I have removed the 2nd conv. Subassembly ( A big job)
and tested the coil and it seems to be fine. I have also tested the
associated 390pf cap and it seems fine. I have not tested the 2.3pf that is
connected between T3 and T4. Maybe T4 tunes very broadly. Does anyone have
any ideas?
