[Hallicrafters] Hallicrafters SX-15

Some of you know I acquired a Hallicrafters SX-15, identified as an SX-15
and not an S-15 by member Nick.

 

The radio is fairly complete, but I am looking for an original audio output
transformer, there is a newer transformer there now, but suspect it is for
an 8 ohm speaker. The feet appear original and are somewhat beat-up, I'd go
for new ones, but cannot find photos of the 15s that show the feet.

 

Also, has anyone had success in repainting with wrinkle paint from O
'Riley's Auto without getting down to bare cabinet metal? Advice?
