[Hallicrafters] SX-62 fm alignment

Hi,  I'm in the process of bringing my SX-62 back to operation.  I have three issues that advice could help.
1) In the fm alignment the 105 mc alignment peaks just as it should, no problem.  When I go to 60 mc I can't even find the signal anywhere on the dial much less trying to peak it.  Any suggestions on where to look?
2) I had to re-string the tuning and it almost works.  But in tuning across the dial the 2 1/2 turns on the tuning knob capstan wants to overlap itself.  I have to back up a bit and the overlap cures itself and I can go ahead again.  Any thoughts on this problem?
3) My glass dial is "flaky" but I see a new one may be available soon (but costly).
