I think this thread has just abut run it's course. That, plus the fact that
apparently many are not reading the previous posts. The radio and it's
purpose here has been positively identified as an S-36 by blowing up the
image to clearly show the model number.
Are you sure about the frequency used for the altimeter/detonator? The S-36
only received up to 143 MHz so it could not have been used at 310 MHz
without some serious modifications.
(I'm also assuming the "S-76" was a typo and that you may have meant S-36,
since the S-76 was the huge S-Meter general coverage HF receiver and only
vaguely looks like an S-36.)
