I'm not clear what you're referring to. The rates are the same whether
you ask at the local U.S. Post Office or go and look them up at usps.com.
However, at the local post office if the counter person is a good
salesperson, they would/should try to upsell you any possible faster
delivery method, tracking, return receipt, stamps, etc.
