[Hallicrafters] Tubes

That piece of bamboo is a must in the case of replacing the tubes in the
center section of the SX-100, no room to get your fingers in there.
After you figure out how to remove the snap-on tube shields and get the
tubes out of their sockets, you need something like that to put them
back in. I didn't have any bamboo so I used a wooden dowel with a
shallow hole drilled in one end. I hope I never have to remove those 4
tubes again.
I don't understand why Hallicrafters used the snap-on shields in those
positions rather than the twist lock they used on the rest.
