[Hallicrafters] S-40A Audio Output Transformer Needed

    You can get a modern replacement from Hammond (http://www.hammondmfg.com/claspg.htm). I used a Hammond replacement on an S-27 and am very satisfied.

    Gary Brown can rewind your old transformer (http://tubes_tubes_tubes.tripod.com/tubestubestubes/id33.html). I've never had Gary do a rewind for me but I have heard good things about his work. I've bought tubes and parts from him and have been very satisfied.

    Gary has an audio transformer listed for sale (http://tubes_tubes_tubes.tripod.com/id55.html) but it's not clear if it's from the -A or -B model.
