You need more goo.  I've used two Weller guns at the same time to do the
job.  Lowes has a 140W Weller for about $35.  

When my 16 ounce hammer doesn't do the job, I grab my 24 ounce hammer and
hit it harder. :-)

How do you unsolder the electrolytic can capacitor mounting lugs from a 
Hallicrafters steel chassis. Maybe I'm just too impatient but my 250W 
Weller gun doesn't seem to deliver enough heat to do the job. I've got a 
big old 250W electric iron but it's so big that who knows what I would 
burn up trying to get it in there.
