I just went downstairs and tried the movement of the "H" medallion on my 
SX-99.

Do NOT lift with a blade!

I found that simply by twisting by *hand* started to cause the emblem to 
start to "rotate".

Without destroying the emblem, use a popsicle stick and lay it on edge 
adjacent to the emblem.

You *should* be able to "start" the motion of the emblem.

I didn't have to swing the bottom of the emblem very much before the 
zero adjustment became accessible.
