I ordered the recap kit from Tom on Saturday and it came yesterday,
Thanks Tom that's fast.
There is a 10uF 50V electrolytic, C-100 on the schematic. The old one
is about 1-1/2" long by 3/4" dia. The new one is about the size of a
1/2W carbon comp. resistor. What a change!
What is the coating on the steel chassis? This SX-100 has spent its
entire life in Florida. It came from a SK and evidently stored under
not the best of conditions for some time. Parts of the chassis have a
white coating. I don't know if it's from zinc galvanizing or something
else. Any ideas?
