Well, my SX-100 Mk2 is on the bench. I have installed a real line cord
with an under chassis fuse and AC bypass capacitors. Now I am waiting
for the recap kit from Tom, N0JMY. It appears that all the paper
capacitors are CD Tiny Chiefs. At least the filter capacitor can isn't
solidly soldered to the chassis and won't need a blow torch to get it
loose. I've had a couple of HT-37's where it looked as if the filter
capacitor was the first thing installed and then completely soldered to
the steel chassis. Trying to get enough heat to melt the solder without
destroying lots of other things was a real job.

All of the sealing enamel on the adjustable coils and transformers
appears intact so I guess no one has done any fiddling around with the
alignment.

I will start checking resistors while I wait for the capacitors. I see
a couple of scorched ones.
