[Hallicrafters] HT-30 and SWR meters

I have tried changing cable lengths but maybe I should try one a bit 
longer?  I had one that was only about 2-2 1/2 ft long and then I put 
one on that was 6 ft. Didnt seem to make much difference. Since we are 
talking about coax, I am using RG-58. Maybe I should change to RG-8 or 
RG-213. Possibly that might be a possible cure?
