[Hallicrafters] Good Ebay experience

With all the posts about negative Ebay purchases, I have to include my very positive post. I recently bid an a Hallicrafters SX-115 receiver, and luckily won the bid. The pictures looked good, both inside and out, albeit a little dust. Received the radio the other day, and was double boxed with bubble wrap and "Popcorn". What I got is almost beyond belief. It had no scratches, no dents, no corrosion, and still had the serial number tag on the back. After a little cleaning the dust off the chassis, the radio looks like it had just come off the Halli assembly line. In fact, the rubber two wire power cord was not even cracked or brittle. All the tubes are Hallicrafters tubes. Powers up just fine, but might need some new tubes an perhaps an alignment as sensitivity is down quite a bit. The electrolytics seem good as there is very little ripple from the power supply. and no hum in the audio.
After the purchase, I kind of had "buyers remorse" as I paid $766 for it, but what I received was amazing. The Seller stated that "the lights come on when I plug it in, but don't know how to turn it off, so it is untested." (Not a Ham)
Long story short, there are some real treasures out there, but a lot of junk too. Out of about 110 purchases I have made on Ebay, I was only burnt once, but not too badly.
