     The caps and other parts sound recent.  At the time the 
SX-117 was built American made radios would have had all 
U.S. parts in them.  I don't know what to make of what you 
have other than the caps and other parts may have been 
replaced long after the rest was manufactured.  Perhaps an 
incomplete set that someone finished much later.  I would 
certainly be interesting to know for certain.
