I was not following the discussion to closely until Rod K0EQH mentioned the
HT-32B might have VFO output for possible transceive with the SX-115.

In a face to face with Frank Lester W4AMJ (ex W2AMJ) of Hammarlund
in 1994 he mentioned that they hired two engineers who worked for P&H
Electronics. One was the designer of the P&H VFOmatic. The VFOmatic came
in several "flavors." One was designed for single band 20 with the HT-32
series and the 75A4. The second was for 80 to 10 operation with the KWS-1
and 75A4. The only one I saw in person was the 80 to 10 used by Mac W2NSA
with his Collins twins. Everyone was amazed he could transceive. This was
1959.

The engineer Frank Lester hired mentioned that he worked with Hallicrafters
on adapted the HT-32 to several receivers including the SX-115.
Frank opined that since Hallicrafters came out with the SR-150 type
transceiver the idea of transceiving with the HT-32 was dropped or never
fully developed. Perhaps the design (signal injection like Drake) was
adapted to the famous SX-117 and HT-44.
