[Hallicrafters] SX-28A Band Selector Stop summary

Hi,
I have the band selector stop on my SX-28A now positioned between bands 1 and 6 (previously there was no stop).  The problem was the stop tab on the aft wafer had been bent, I think because the keeper plate at the end of the central shaft had been installed 180 deg. out of position so that the stop was between bands 3 and 4 and someone just forced the selector until the stop tab bent.
The keeper plate does come off by removing a C ring at the end of the shaft, then removing two screws, loosening a screw in the coupler in the middle of the shaft and then just pulling the aft half of the shaft out the back.  Two ball bearings will drop out but can be easily reinstalled using a bit of grease to hold them in place.  I carefully straightened the stop tab and reassembled.  The backing plate has two small indents which the stop tab comes against.  The two indents on the backing plate are positioned at about the 11 o'clock position when the backing plate is installed.
I believe all SX-28s were manufactured with a stop between bands 1 and 6.
I have a few pictures if someone has a similar problem that needs fixing.  The pictures might help.
