Very tactful and correct Carl. These days it is too easy to "share" documentation by the internet. I don't know much about the financial status of ER but I doubt they are getting rich off us, more likely just managing to break even. I see it more as a labor of love that we should support one way or another. I myself just purchased a second copy of the 75A-4 Compendium for use at a second station away from the home shack. I could have just had my original duplicated at Kinko's, but what the heck, I needed a second copy, ER provides it in a nice binder, and what little I spent helps fund what for many of us is a source of info on classic/antique gear.

The copyrighted back issues can be purchased thru ER. It helps keep that
small operation in business....since subscritions are what keeps it alive
and helps those of us that dont try to defeat its purpose with good content
every month.
