[Hallicrafters] Let's end thread on attaching wire cables.

First:  I am a pilot, over 50 years of flying.  Second: I am an A&P.  Third: I am an IA.
I know the regulations and have been repairing aircraft for a long time.  I was simply asking for some opinions on butt joining two 1/16 wire cables (not SS) to make a job easier.  Some offered help, others offered little help.  Please end the thread.
