[Hallicrafters] Bristol drivers

I have a set of Bristol Drivers here and the main ones i want to use are warn out on the tips. I am thinking of putting one of the drivers into a vise with just the tip of the driver sticking up out of the vise jaw and snap the tip off. The last thing you want to do is file or grind the tip off to avoid burrrs. What do you think? Am i on track?
