I find that I like the looks and history behind the old rigs but I'm becoming 
more practical. I'm beginning to thin down my collection. I thought I was going 
to "wow" the club members with the gold dust twins all that was said was "they 
sure are big and heavy" I really like the E-Ham reviews when a guy compares a 
old rig to his 2000+ rig and gives the old rig a low rating. Sort of like 
comparing a 1954 corvette to a 2010 corvette.  Saying all that I almost bought a 
Bauer 707 transmitter, it was all I could do to walk away, I say collecting is a
