I followed the progress of the two auctions for  that particular SX-88 of 
course; while the pictures were very good I  believe it was the original 
parts which held it back. The seller did a great job  attempting to sell the 
virtues of having originality but the bidders in the  price range he was trying 
to reach clearly were not buying. They just will not  sell well with 
original parts in spite of how much folks wish they would.  Too many buyers 
understand an SX-88 with original parts cannot be aligned  to work anywhere near 
its performance potential though you might  occassionally get one to work 
after a fashion.
