Cleaning:
Well, learn something from the XYL.
I picked up a very rare high end tuner amp a while back..
Beautiful but chassis was a bit dirty.
The XYL took it on and started trying different things.
The tube numbers etc was stamped on chassis and did not want to see it wash
away.
She wound up spraying small amounts of WD-40 in a small plastic container,
picking it up on a Q-tip and wiping it on the chassis in small areas.
Coming back after it had a chance to soak and removed grime with another
Q-tip, cotton balls and a soft rag.
Came out beautiful. Looks like new.
Chassis would pass for brand new. Get some long thin sticks,
wrap cotton on them, and use them to get into the impossible places.
Won't remove rust or other oxidation but if chassis is just dirty works
great.
OK put away the flame throwers.
Everybody has a "best" way. Everybody has an opinion, and everybody has an
a.....e.
Thanx
