[Hallicrafters] Signal generators

Greg, Ive an A version here that I cant even give away.Besides the
thumbwheel frequency entry the phase noise makes MDS measurements impossible
on anything better than a S-38 on 10M!
Besides they weigh a ton.

The 8656B is very good (the A version is noisy) and the 8657 is better; Ive
used those at work a lot. After thet it gets real expensive.

There are also several HP service monitors hitting the market that have a
lot of capability for the price.

www.amtronix.com/diff.htm

If you need lower frequency capability then the HP 11710B is a natural; I
use one on the 8640B for HRO-500 and LF-10 work.
