[Hallicrafters] microphonics

Hi Walt,
 
My Father bought a brand new S-38 when they hit the market after WW II. It  
was a "boing machine" right out of the box.  He took it back and got  
another one in a factory sealed box and the problem was still there in that  one, 
too.  I have had many near new Hallicrafters receivers with the same  
problem. I believe it was a function of tube problems more than anything  else.
